India has been a priority partner country of German Development Cooperation and both countries celebrated 50 years of development cooperation in 2008. Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ) GmbH has been active in India on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) for almost all of this period.
Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ) GmbH supports the German Government in achieving its development-policy objectives. It provides viable, forward looking solutions for political, economic, ecological and social development in a globalised world.
It was established in 1975 as a company under private law by the German Federal Government. The German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) is its major client. The company also operates on behalf of other German ministries, the governments of other countries and international clients, such as the European Commission, the United Nations and the World Bank, as well as on behalf of private enterprises.

SIDBI established on April 2, 1990 under an Act passed by Indian Parliament is the principal financial institution for the promotion, financing and development of industry in the small scale sector and to co- ordinate the functions of the institutions engaged in the promotion and financing or developing industry in the small scale sector and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.
Mission "To empower the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector with a view to contributing to the process of economic growth, employment generation and balanced regional development."
SIDBI has been supporting the MSME sector with various innovative schemes and has brought specialized and customized made products for addressing their financial and non financial requirements. SIDBI has been the lead nodal agency for many GOI schemes including the Textile Upgradation Fund Scheme for Textile sector. SIDBI has been extending its reach to MSME sector through direct channel of 100 Branch offices and indirectly through Prime Lending Institutions. |
